I know it has been exactly six months since my last blog post...six months toooo long! What is new in my life, you may ask? Well since my last post in November I have: started a new job, studied and took one of the hardest exams I have taken in my life, I applied to graduate schools, and I finally got accepted into GRADUATE SCHOOL! With all of that, I am now in the process of getting ready to make a big move by the end of July. Needless to say...I have been pretty busy! If you have been to my site before, you can tell that I have updated it just a bit and have added some new tabs at the top. You will see new sections besides fashion, that include: beauty and lifestyle. Reason being, I am wishing to expand on sharing and showcasing more to you all besides fashion. Although I have took a minute from posting, does not mean I took a break from planning...I took that step back to plan this major comeback. Be on the lookout for all the extra things I have in store! Now...enough of the chit chat, let us get on to this double look book!
If you have been following me since the beginning, you know that I love giving you all a "two for one". Taking one garment of clothing and giving you different looks that either fit your personality, you can turn from day to night, or just give you ideas you may have never thought of before! So today, I bring to you a "How to Style: The Band Tee". A simple scoop neck shirt, that you can find in any store (online and in your local mall) that showcases either a band, artist, group, brand, and so on and so forth. One thing you will learn about me is that, I go for outfits that look like I took a lot of time and effort to put together...yet are the most simplest ones that I just pulled from my closet. This is one of the main reasons why I find myself not only stocking up on graphic tees, but just basic shirts in general. It is so easy to switch up your entire look, by going from jeans, to a skirt, and sneakers to heels, and by also changing your accessories. The two looks I put together here, I would not necessarily call it a day to night look, because honestly, I would wear either during anytime of the day. Do not be afraid to mix those patterns, mix that black tee with light wash jeans because, it looks better than you would think. Dare to dress up your basic "band tees" for a night out with the girls. It is all about taking simple pieces in order to maximize your closet and the band tee, will do just that!
